Applications for undergraduate courses are made via UCAS except for BA Theatre. Foundation, BA Theatre and postgraduate applications are made directly through the relevant programme page.
Yes; we audition every applicant. Each year, GSA is able to offer a very small number of places to students who do not meet the A level requirements based on their particularly exceptional performance at audition. These places are offered at the discretion of the audition panel.
You will be sent an email with instructions to set up your Surrey Self-Service. You will need your University of Surrey application number in order to set this up. You will then need to pay the audition fee to be able to see bookable audition dates. Please note these dates will only show once we have passed your payment. If you are successful in your first audition, you will be recalled for a further audition on a different day and following this a decision will be made on your application. A recall audition is only applicable to the BA Acting and Musical Theatre courses.
Yes. You will need to submit a new application via UCAS and attend another audition. We don’t consider the previous application and you will be auditioned as a new applicant.
No. You must apply in the academic year before you want to start at GSA. You can defer a place for BA Dance and BA Theatre Production only.
Yes, you can apply for more than one course in the same year. You will need to pay an audition fee for each course.
emphasised that fluency and accuracy in the English language is essential. This should be matched by an extensive vocabulary, text awareness and a genuine desire to work on improving the language. If you are successful at audition, you may be asked to provide evidence of English language. If English is not your first language you will be asked to provide evidence that you meet the University of Surrey’s English language requirements that are stated on the relevant programme pages
