7.30pm - Bound (Three Bees Company)

Performed by Lucy Brown, Luke Bromley, and Tom Baker

'Emily wasn't surprised when John proposed – it’s just the next step in their three year relationship. Flowers are picked, bands are booked, plans are made. As the big day suddenly looms close their secure connection is put under strain and fruitcake, family and a very expensive hog roast seem to be the only things keeping them together.

It’s going to be the happiest day of their lives. Isn’t it?

A whimsical exploration of marriage, tradition, family and fear, Bound navigates the ancestral power that weddings hold and asks how a relationship can survive when confronted with its most intimate flaws.'

Fated Queen is a company that works to make theatre that is interesting for women to watch and be in. They are currently exploring ideas for their new piece By the Grace of God, a story set within the confines of a convent. The work shared during Scratch is the beginnings of this, where the company are looking to engage with the audiences’ responses in order to develop the piece further. Looking at the length that guilt, fear, and boredom will drive individuals to, the company encourages feedback after the show as to how people think the story may be concluded.

These performances have been rehearsed and performed in Covid-safe conditions.
