Friday 10th January 2020 will see the glitz of Broadway, the glamour of the West End and the music of Hollywood come to Guildford. Singers from Guildford School of Acting are joining up with Southern Pro Musica to perform some of the finest music from stage and screen.
The event follows last year's sell-out collaboration which raised the roof of the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. Back by popular demand, there will be a new selection of classic songs from some of the finest Broadway and West End shows and most memorable film scores.
Enjoy high-octane ensemble numbers, vocal scores and vibrant orchestral music that has lit up theatres across the world, including Stephen Sondheim and Cole Porter favourites and popular film scores by John Williams and Ron Goodwin.
Musical Director for GSA Peter Roberts said, "It's going to be a fun evening of great music performed at the highest standard. These singers are young but they're on their way to the West End and Broadway so it's only fitting that they're singing these classics. With GSA's Julian Woolford compèring and South Pro Musica's Jonathan Willcocks conducting, it'll be an lively, fun evening."
