Funded Regional Outreach Project

In 2022/23 Professor Anna McNamara, Director of Internationalisation at GSA, led a nationwide inclusion project designed to support school children and teachers, particularly those from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the creative industries training sector.

The project involved workshops that illustrated the viability of further study of the creative industries in Higher Education whilst also encouraging school engagement with local theatres.

Guildford School of Acting alumni facilitated the practical sessions, covering several different theatrical disciplines such as puppetry, set design, lighting, sound, devising and site-specific performance.

The project was run in association with Get Into Theatre and the Federation of Drama Schools. Click here to learn more.
