PRe

The Pre-audition Course advises on song and monologue choices for entry into drama school training and each student has the opportunity to present their selections to two members of the GSA faculty – Peter Roberts and Gerry Tebbutt. Mock audition sessions take place and feedback in the form of constructive criticism, evaluation and advice are given on their presentations along with ideas on how to improve, develop and extend their range to an acceptable audition level. The students also have the opportunity to ask the tutors in-depth questions about their own current personal level and progress needed, and are given suggestions for further study in order that the prospective student is heading in the right direction. The students are given a talk and guidance on the considered requirements they need from the moment they walk into the audition room, presenting themselves in front of a panel and suggestions on maintaining personality, confidence and potential.

Why GSA?

GSA is widely recognised by the entertainment industry as a provider of the foremost performing arts training in the world and our pre-audition courses offer students hoping to gain entry into drama school invaluable experience and advice.

"This course has been a major wake up call for me. I am now very much excited to do the work required to find the right material, to spend my time working with it and to step outside of myself and stop ‘acting’"

Please note that due to the nature of the audition process there is no guarantee that a student attending these courses will achieve a recall or place at a drama school
